    Morning Procedures
    All classrooms have a dot on the outside playground. Each dot is labeled with the classroom number. When the bell rings in the morning at 8:05 AM, students will line-up by the classroom dots to meet their teacher.
  • The school playground will be OPEN at 7:45 AM.
  • There is NO DUTY coverage before 7:45 AM.
  • Students MAY NOT be dropped off earlier than 7:45 AM.
  • Vehicles have access to PARKING LOT for student drop off.
    Dismissal Procedures
  • Dismissal is at 2:16.
  • Blue Diamond is a Hand-to-Hand dismissal school. Therefore, all students must be escorted from school property by an adult or a family member. All students in grades K-5 are dismissed through the main entrance gate, not the parking lot. Bus students are escorted to the bus, after the bus departs, students are escorted to the end of the school property. Students who walk home or ride a bicycle home must stay on the sidewalks along the perimeter of the school.
  • Dismissal time is 2:16 PM. Parents or Guardians are expected to be here on time. If the parent, guardian, or emergency contact is not at Blue Diamond by 2:40 PM, the truant officer will be called. Your child will be escorted to the LIED Boys and Girls Club by the truant officer. The school office closes at 3:00 PM.

  • Bus Riders

    If your child is riding the bus to and from school, please make sure that their teacher knows. If you have questions regarding transportation you may call transportation at 702-799-8111 or Click Here to visit their website.

    Bike Riders

    If a bicycle is ridden to school, it must be in the bike rack. The school assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY for theft or damage. WE strongly encourage all bike riders to wear helmets. Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, and Heely shoes may not be brought on campus.

    Dress Code

    • 1.

      Require the wearing of shoes with soles. House slippers and shoes with wheels are not permitted

    • 2.

      All clothing must be sufficient to conceal any and all undergarments. No skin will show between bottom of shirt/blouse and top of pants or skirts at any time. All sleeveless shirts must have straps at least three inches wide. Prohibited tops include, but are not limited to, crop tops, tank tops, strapless, low-cut clothing, clothing with slits, or tops and outfits that provide minimum coverage.

    • 3.

      Require that all shorts, skorts, skirts, and jumpers/dresses must be at fingertip length.

    • 4.

      All jeans, pants, and trousers must be secured at waist level. Sagging is strictly prohibited. Jeans, pants, and trousers are not to have rips or tears that expose undergarments and/or are located mid-thigh or higher.

    • 5.

      Headgear (hats, hoods, caps, bandanas, hair grooming aids, etc.) is not permitted on campus except for designated school approved uniforms, special events, authorized athletic practices, documented medical conditions, bona fide religious reasons, or CCSD/school sanctioned activities.

    • 6.

      Slogans or advertising on clothing, jewelry, buttons, and/or accessories which by their controversial, discriminatory, profane, and/or obscene nature disrupt the educational setting are prohibited.

    • 7.

      Any clothing, jewelry, buttons, and/or accessories that promote illegal or violent conduct, or affiliation with groups that promote illegal or violent conduct such as, but not limited to, the unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or drug paraphernalia, or clothing that contains threats are prohibited.

    • 8.

      Spiked or studded clothing, jewelry, and/or accessories are prohibited.

    • 9.

      Outerwear such as coats, mittens, and scarves must be removed upon entering the classrooms/buildings. Administrators, teachers, R-5131 (page 3) and staff may use their discretion as appropriate based on the temperature in the facility.
